VHDL and Verilog to HTML documentation generation
HDL Companion comes with an integrated HTML generator that allows you to
export your project in a format that is easily accessible to others.
VHDL and Verilog files will be translated to HTML including hyperlinks
that allow easy navigation from identifiers to their definition.
To make the code more readable color coding is used to highlight the VHDL and
The generated HTML also includes an index (both alphabetical and by type), the Object View, the File View and the Hierarchical View. Detailed information for high level objects (packages, entities, architectures, configurations and modules) is also available. All objects shown in the different views contain links that allow you to quickly navigate through the differents views and the HDL files. The generator simplifies the way you communicate your design to others. The hot links and color coded HDL files shorten the time needed to understand the design.
Here is a VHDL to HTML example for the I2C project (in a new window).
A Verilog to HTML example can be found here (also in a new window).
